เรื่องของแสง

                ว่าด้วยเรื่องของแสง นับเป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญที่สุดอย่างหนึ่งของการถ่ายภาพเลยทีเดียว โดยที่เราจะต้องคำนึ่งถึงทั้งในเรื่องปริมาณของแสงและทิศทางของแสงที่ให้ความเหมาะสม ในกรณีที่มีปริมาณของแสงที่ไม่เพียงพอเราสามารถใช้ไฟแฟลชเข้าช่วยได้ แต่ก็มีเงื่อนไขว่าตัวแบบนั้นจะต้องอยู่ห่างจากกล้องไม่มากนัก ถ้าอยู่ไกลเกินไปอาจจะทำให้ตัวแบบมืด เพราะแสงแฟลชไปไม่ถึงตัวแบบ  แหล่งกำเนิดของแสงมีอยู่ด้วยกัน 2 ลักษณะ คือแสงจากธรรมชาติ และแสงที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้น สำหรับแสงจากธรรมชาตินั้นมักจะเป็นแสงจากดวงอาทิตย์ ซึ่งมีความแรงของแสงมาก และเป็นแสงที่ถ่ายภาพได้ดีกว่าแสงอื่น แต่ก็ควบคุมได้ยากมาก

                ส่วนแสงอีกประเภทหนึ่งนั้นก็คือ แสงที่เกิดจากการที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นมา ก็ได้แก่จำพวกแสงจากหลอดไฟชนิดต่างๆ ที่ประดิษฐ์เพื่อชดเชยแสงธรรมชาติที่ไม่พอเพียง หรือเมื่อต้องการจัดแสงในทิศทางที่ไม่สามารถควบคุมแสงจากธรรมชาติได้ อันเนื่องจากแสงจากธรรมชาตินั้นจะควบคุมปริมาณและทิศทางของแสงได้ยาก
